Noticing the “wow” in each moment of “now”

The following “pages” started out
with me creating just
ONE
simple little window hanger
(using that same image from a few days ago)
a reminder for myself
that there is so much….
“wow!”
in each moment of
“now”

It really is quite remarkable
when one stops and notices…

As I continue to ponder,
going beyond the post from a few days ago
it seems like there is so much positive
WITHIN
each moment of now…

The more I ponder,
the more amazing each moment seems

~

…and so…
here are a few (!?!) aspects
I noticed
as I was making
just that ONE simple page…
aspects I find remarkable
in my own moments of “now”…
reminders to myself of sooooo much positive….
“wow”
in the
“now”

~

The body???….it’s incredible!!!!
can you believe all this, and infinitely more,  is going on within our bodies
right now!?!?!

And the mind…just as remarkable!
a tiny fraction of what it’s doing right now

And the heart…
the very, very precious heart…

~

Connecting with others in our lives
each heart, mind and body…
connecting is such special ways with
family, friends, other people,
7 BILLION people on earth
and billions and billions of animals
(and I include access to good healthcare as a part of this…
it supports keeping  people healthy and  alive)

And here I sit…
creating these pages
combining them
from that previously simple
ONE page window hanger…
into these expanding pages
here I sit in my own house
in another amazing miracle of now
so many positives

My eyes drift out the window in front of me…
so much right here
some of these not in my actual visual field,
but affecting me right now
wow!

And so…
…it expands…
an integral part of each now,
part of the larger awareness of
…space and time…
billions of miles
one moment within billions of years
…included within of each moment of now…

ONE
simple little page
a little window hanger reminder
expanding so far

~

awareness
….expanding…contracting…expanding…contracting…

What else can be said
other than…
“wow”

wow!

~

~

~

(the following….added the next day…)

…and as I continue to ponder….
noticing even more

“now”
every single thing is
changing each instant!!!!
sometimes in subtle ways
other times more noticeable
every single item on each of those pages
is now
DIFFERENT
from when I noticed it and typed the words there
changing…changing…changing
noticing…appreciating…letting it go
releasing….being flexible…letting go
all the more reason
to appreciate each moment of “now”

~

~

~

Perhaps an ending page
tying all these pages together
the ideas that I’m trying to express,
changing  the word
“day”…to ……”moment”
so well expressed by Louis Schwatzberg..
(from a post in February….)
in his beautiful   TED video
“Gratitude”

…now…wow…
I am filled with gratefulness
for this extraordinarily precious gift of  “now”

“Every day, think as you wake up,
today I am fortunate to be alive,
I have a precious human life,
I am not going to waste it.”

-Dalai Lama XIV-

…every day…
…every moment of each day…
so precious

  2. Marie….I’m in a state of…”stunned”…I didn’t notice that sense as I made the pages…mostly just a sense of appreciation as I made them…for each item on each page… but viewing it afterwards was one of those “woo woo” experiences…maybe it’s called “expanded consciousness?”…I have no idea what it is ….but it’s an amazing awareness…whatever it is! I’m a bit stunned. And walking around the house now…whoa…..different! …. talk about seeing the miracle of everything! wow!

  10. Wow!! So much phenomena all happening in this very moment all at the same time. Each cell of the body a universe of its own, carrying out its purpose, independent and collective, part of the network of motion and change and expansion that is occurring from the subatomic level to the universe and beyond. Wow is right!!

  11. It is stunning. I wonder if Buddha was approaching something of this idea when he said, “If we could see the miracle of a single flower, our whole life would change.”

    • thank you…. I like the way you worded that…(your first sentence)…I think those words are actually “page worthy”= combine them with an image or two and put them on a “page” (that’s what I call these image pages I create= “pages” )…hmmmm…..what image??? what color? what fonts??? hmmmm….. 🙄
Ah ha….what could be better than an “inventive evening”?!?!…. you read me well! : )

As a young child, I remember lying in a field of grass and staring up into the clear blue sky. The blueness of the sky just went deeper and deeper and deeper, until I got dizzy and had to look away. But for those moments, I was totally absorbed in the moment, fascinated just by the blue sky. That’s an experience I’ve never forgotten. It meant something about being present, in the moment, because in that moment, I and the sky were the same. Thanks for this post! ♥

    • Isn’t it amazing what deep and direct experiences children have… perhaps going into experience with deep, direct connection…not mediated by language.
I had a somewhat similar unanticipated experience as I was making this post…and was in a “daze” for several hours after that…. I still get a glimpse of “it” when I view each page and reflect on the abundant and amazing “miracles” in each moment….. Isn’t it an amazing feeling to merge with the sky???
