Developing “wisdom”: Doing the best I can with what I know …

*

*And so….learning “life lessons” from nature…

And the following:  simply the background of the 2 images above…a close-up photo of a small, beautiful section of bark on a  tree in the Lake Quinault rainforest:

that little section of bark..an enormously complex ecosystem…

and beautiful interplay within it…

btw…I’m quite happy and content as I’m writing/updating this post….for the past few weeks/months/years, I’ve been reading, studying and thinking about these ideas and reflecting on the complexity of  the dynamics within myself (and others) and between and among us all…and these pages are my most recent attempts to “get” the ideas through association with images.

When I’m in the middle of challenging reactions, however….mine or others’…I’m not quite so calm and content. My hope is that by developing this deeper understanding during quiet times, I’ll have a broadened perspective when things are more complex…that’s my hope…time will tell, I guess…

A further note: that idea ties in with the reason that I print up these images and put them up in noticeable spots around my home…

  • to help me to  “keep” in mind what I’m trying to learn
  • and to “re”-mind me when I might forget…

Now, if I can just learn/remember to see life this way…

at least SOME of the time…

what a positive “shift” that would be…  : )

And so…perhaps, expanding my perspectives…
