Some days, we may wish for a sense of “angels” watching over us…
Instead of simply “wishing,”
perhaps taking time to notice they might be all around…
sometimes appearing as “everyday” angels who are in our lives,
friends, family members, beloved pets….
people who pass by in a store, on the street….
offering us a smile, a helping hand, a kind gesture…
so many possible and potential “angels”
~
Or perhaps,
a deeper sense of “angels” watching over us…
offering reassurance, comfort, encouragement…
some days we need that…
well, many days we need that…
today, perhaps, being one…
a fortifying sense of
“angels watching over me….”

Shaina Noll,
( who also sings the lovely song “it’s a joy to get to know you” )
singing
“angels watching over me”
(singing starts at 30 seconds )

All night, all day,
angels watching over me, my lord…
all night, all day,
angels watching over me…
When I sleep and when I wake,
angels watching over me,
Every single breath I take,
angels watching over me
~
~
Again….
perhaps, broadening our sense of the word “angel”….
opening up to the awareness that we are all potential “angels” for each other,
offering and receiving hope, strength and encouragement
~
~
All night and all day,
may each of us have a comforting sense
of being nurtured, loved and watched over…
of being held gently and tenderly in hearts,
a sense of…
“angels” watching over me

Nurturing Thursday is hosted by Becca Givens at “On Butterfly Wings and Buttercup Tea.” Please stop by Becca’s blog to enjoy her Nurturing Thursday posts and to link to the post of other Nurturing Thursday posters… our very own nurturing, blogging “angels” offering reassurance, kindness and wisdom to all of us…. (I just viewed Becca’s post for today…encouraging each of us to recognize the “angels” in our lives… those people who see our goodness and who encourage, nurture and appreciate…thank you, Becca.)

Added a few hours later, after a suggestion in the comments area, from Joss…thank you Joss!….to put the ideas onto windspinner panels… I use one larger image hanging from the center of a mobile, and 4 smaller images hanging from the sides…all printed on clear film and laminated…well, I have the images… changed to a background of sky…sky backgrounds seems so beauty-filled and so hope-filled to me… I’ll print and laminate them in a bit… and create an inspiring mobile…important reminders…soon to be hanging outside a window…

What a wonderful post for Nurturing Thursday!! 😀
For the past month or so, I have had the most frequent occurrences of 11:11 in both the am and the pm — my angels are near!!

what a marvelous list of possible angels appearing you give us. This would make a lovely spiral hanging I think.

Oh Joss…thank you for that idea…. I was just out at the store, and more than a bit discouraged for the past few days…. and realized there are so many “everyday” angels in our lives…and I saw many today….(in addition to any extraordinary ones)… the people who smile and offer a helping hand…people who are friendly and cheerful… such everyday angels they are! …we just need to notice them… (and reciprocate, too)
So, Joss…that’s a great idea….I will make a spinner mobile…and call it “everyday” angels… a reminder to notice and appreciate those who nurture, appreciate and encourage…who see and nurture our hearts… In addition to “watching over us”…they’re also “wind beneath our wings…”…..as in the wind spinning the images on the mobiles… thank you for the idea…
I hope you’re meeting lots and lots of everyday angels in France… I’m sure you are! 😀

It’s always comforting to be reminded that there are angels watching us. The Youtube was very relaxing, loved her body language and sweet voice. I see you are on another cool project with a spinner mobile. 🙂

Isn’t that a comforting thought? And Shaina Noll does have a soothing quality about her voice and presence. And yup…spinners… hopefully just from the mobiles, not in my mind 🙂
