Inspiration and encouragement from the sunflower… “stand tall, back straight, chin up…face the sun!”

~

Ah ha…
this sunflower continues to inspire me,
encouraging me to adopt a posture and outlook of optimism and strength…
stand tall…back straight…chin up…face the sun

Stand tall….courage
Back straight…strength
Chin up…. persistence
Face the sun…optimism
Excellent “advice” from the sunflower

Adopting a “body posture” of certain qualities or attributes, gets the brain and body systems attuned to  the “felt sense” of that attribute…and then spreads to that emotional, quality or “feeling.”

And so, to take advantage of this wonderful mind-body potential for positive associations… to deliberately adopt a physical “posture”… in this case, using an imagined sunflower… stand tall, back straight, chin up, face the sun…. courage, strength, persistence and optimism….

May each and everyone of us
feel an embodied sense of strength, courage and optimism,
as we go about our activities and interactions
throughout this very special day

Love the wisdom of the sunflower. I actually sat straight up, smiled and had my chin up while reading this post. LOL. 😀

  3. This is a wonderful perspective to have, and i love using the sunflower as the symbol for the focus. They are such a cheerful flower, and I will really use them as a direct encouragement. My sister-in-law brought a beautiful bouquet to me this week, and the bouquet is still lovely. I appreciate this!
