I first heard this beautiful “song” last November, when I found it embedded in a very special post, “Aad Guray Nameh” on TimeThief’s blog “This Time, This Space.” (thank you, thank you, TimeThief) I was deeply moved by listening to it then, and continue to feel soothed, nourished and protected when I listen to it now. Singing is special, too. I thought sharing this song with others would be a nuturing addition to “Nurturing Thursdays” from Becca’s Blog.

Yes, isn’t it beautiful? Sometimes, I’ll just listen to it again and again…clicking on “refresh” when it stops… it can have a rather wondrous effect.

Wow, this seemed to stir a memory deep within my soul. I will listen to it over and over. Namaste.

Yes… I feel that way too…that there is a remembering deep within. I’ve noticed that if I sit very quietly, calm the mind and then sing with her… a sense of deep “reverence” emerges, sometimes at the time, sometimes an hour or two later. I find it special.

Oh Laurie, I’m sorry you had a rough day. Listening to this a few times, and maybe singing it too, might help…that’s supposed to be some of the benefits of it…soothing, calming, protecting and letting go of concerns from/about past or potential future. Wishing you well…

Yes…. it really can fill one with such a sense of peace, love and light. I find that sitting quietly and then gently singing it, as she sings, sometimes enhances and expands that “sense” too….multiplies it. Enjoy the light…

This is so beautiful. I have listened to it several times. I would love to add it to my Bloggers for Peace Challenge – Music – if you wouldn’t mind.

Hi Laurie…that would be lovely if you share it…. it’s wonderful for more people to have increased awareness of and access to healing music and song. I find this one to be very special…and sometimes even “powerful.” I’m so happy that you found it special, too.
btw… the link to TimeThief’s post adds lots more good information, background and ideas… she really explained it well. link to This Time This Space http://thistimethisspace.com/2012/11/20/aad-guray-nameh/ (there are two other videos of Aad Guray Namen in that post, by other artists… you might want to listen to those, too… I especially like the Deva Premal one, too … )
