like so many of us, I’ve spent so many years…
… parts of a lifetime…
doing what I thought I was “supposed” to do…
I’m sooooo happy I did that!!!!!
so much has been so amazingly (!!!) wonderful…
???… but now …???
a new “part” of my life,
freedom, curiosity, exploration
a sense of wonder,
opening to opportunities,
exploring possibilities…
maybe…
…just maybe…
I might even choose to
gaze at the moon ’til I lose my senses…

Of course…
if I start to feel “fenced in”…
I’m probably doing that to myself…
limiting myself within my own “mind” …
no one else is trying to limit anything I think or do.
So….
for me…
and perhaps for many of us,
to remember to loosen up “within” ourselves…
to take advantage
of the many varied perspectives, possibilities and opportunities…
…..a message to “self”…..
“don’t fence me in….”

The song and your words made me smile. Looks like you are enjoying the freedom that you have these days after retiring. 😀

I’ve really been enjoying it, even more so in the past few weeks. I can’t believe my “good fortune” to have such freedom and opportunity for a balance of quiet and activity.
I love the metaphoric perspective of “don’t fence me in!”… of course, no one else is doing that. If it happens, it’s my own “mind” doing that, not others. And so…variety is good…at least for me it seems to be.
I’m going to a weekend workshop tomorrow…a companion workshop from the wonderful “butterfly” weekend in December…. http://www.regonline.com/builder/site/Default.aspx?EventID=1203410

Yes, the mind is what fences us in if we let it. Have fun at the workshop. Just checked it out and it looks intriguing especially with Albert Einstein’s comments on illusion. It’s loving kindness to nurture ourselves. Have a wonderful time!
