The perfecting of generosity, patience, effort, ethics, concentration and wisdom

These qualities are called The Six Perfections: Generosity, Ethics, Patience, Joyful or Persistent Effort, Concentration and Wisdom…the goal being to progress in developing and “perfecting” these qualities in oneself and one’s everyday life…

And a few other qualities…

compassion, comfort, kindness and nurturing….

added to The Perfections…

  1. What beautiful tidbits of wisdom and how blessed I am to have them delivered right into my in box!

  2. I’m so happy to share…I’ve been fortunate to have those bits of wisdom passed along to me…I then “translate” ideas into my own “language” of image, and pass them along : ) Thank you for your kind words.

btw..this “translation” idea ties in with Nancy’s post at Spirit Lights the Way…she has excellent explanation, partly from My Stroke of Insight about left brain/right brain functioning: “Mastering your thoughts”

These are GORGEOUS . . . and wonderful reminders. I’ll add a link to the bottom of my post. Thanks, Kathy.

    • You’re very welcome….I just added a few photos to the bottom of the post…. of The Perfections “suncatchers” in various windows in our home…
And speaking of reminders?…whew…I had to use many of those perfections teaching school today, especially patience… generosity….ethics…and persistent effort…there’s where the positive, cognitive left brain commitment comes in!
