So true, and we can’t have too many reminders of it! Thanks. 🙂

If we really really stop and ponder — there are always more good things happening …. unfortunately, our society has conditioned us to notice the negative more strongly than the positive. Thank you for the reminder — and for sharing with Nurturing Thursday!

  4. I think it’s important to remind ourselves of this particular message, Kathy! Thank you. It isn’t exactly the message we hear every day, is it? It’s a very good thought to repeat frequently!

Thanks for this reminder, Kathy. We all need them as it’s easy to get caught up with our busy lives and forgot to pause and notice the little blessings that keep appearing in our lives.

Just a thought: have you considered teaching a mindfulness based course to either young students or older adults? The reason I ask is because I learn from your posts and you make it come alive with the art.

    • Oh yes….so many blessings…. and you’re right, they do just keep appearing…so wonderful!
I’ve been trying to think of some other, as yet undiscovered, ways of doing “more” than I’ve been doing…perhaps, something “in person” with others. Thank you for your ideas. I hesitate about the idea of actually “teaching” because it seems like someone who teaches should, or would, have more “mastery” of “living” the lessons in a topic than I have at this point…but thank you so much, Marie, for your positive suggestions. I really appreciate your encouraging feedback.

Thank you for this timely reminder. I can be so critical(!) and drawn to fret about my past/future rather than to be centered in the moment with gratitude. An expansive view opened up for me as I was re-directed with this reminder. Thank you!

As someone lucky enough to have met Kathy in person, I’d agree she’d be a wonderful teacher of mindfulness. The best teachers are active listeners, patient guides, generous of heart, and hold hope for others when they don’t have it themselves. Kathy is such a teacher. 🙂

I enjoy and benefit from all your posts, Kathy.
    xoxox, Kathy!
    Miss you!

    • thank you…………… Joyce, you also have those same “qualities” that you mentioned … you’ve certainly offered those to me….the larger world is looking forward to you sharing those more fully with them. Isn’t it interesting that some of those “good things” that are around us all the time….and that we don’t seem to be aware of….are some of the “good things” within each of us…Joyce, you’re overflowing with good things! 🙂
