It is lovely to consider we can go into the quiet space in our minds and nurture ourselves. Beautiful!

I really enjoy “imagining” quiet places in nature…and then letting my mind quiet and enjoy being “there”… nice and quiet. : )

I am finding out more and more that it’s important to have quiet moments in order to reconnect with my Inner source. I am reading a book by the Dalai Lama “The Wisdom of Compassion”, and his co-author shares that the Dalai Lama spends 5 hours a day meditating, praying, and focusing on compassion so he can better serve. He gets up very early to accomplish this.

I think one of the potential benefits of quiet moments can be developing more sense of clarity, wisdom and compassion. Isn’t it amazing how long the DalaiLama meditates each and every day? What a compassionate and strong sense of commitment and purpose. I think many monks meditate many hours each day….starting with a “long quiet time” in the very early morning and then again in the evening….remarkable! I guess it “works!”
