I like the reminder to shut down a negative thought completely and substitute it with a positive thought and action; it does re-wire the brain to have a healthier outlook. I am mindful with keeping my mind healthy, but notice it’s an life-long practice as there are days when the mind is not friendly at all.

I find this reminder helpful too…and got to make good use of it today when I very unexpectedly got a bit stirred up about something. It took awhile to work through my mind’s reaction and shift into a more positive healthier outlook…but, as you write, it seems to be a life long practice.
