We each have a voice….and it’s important to use it

~

~

In some situations, I’ve tended to be quite “shy”….
and so learning to have the confidence to use my own voice
has been an ongoing process…

~

I try to keep in mind  how important it is for all of us
to develop courage,
to speak up about what’s important,
to take that chance….
it’s so important for each of us to use our own voice

~
I created the originals of these pages a few years ago
when I was so shy….
with practice, experience and time
it seems to get easier
but still a work in progress

~

And so a few words of encouragement that I use with myself
and share with any others
who might, at times,  be hesitant to use their voices

~

A wish for us all….

~

The importance of positive motivation…
to use our voices
to create positive changes in our world

May we use our voices well….

I am shy with speaking in front of a group. When in the corporate world, speaking in meetings or giving training sessions to strangers was not my idea of fun. But, yes, using our voice to create positive changes is a blessing for ourselves and others.

I often find that quieter people have more interesting things to say when they OPEN UP.

  4. Wouldn’t it be so amazing to feel comfortable speaking up?….that must be so much easier…but maybe then there are other challenges?…maybe so. Thanks, Roberta, for adding your ideas.

  5. One of the most powerful scenes in the movie The King’s Speech is when Edward shouts “I have a voice”. it sent chills up my spine.

Yes… and use it with compassion and not judgement. 😉

    • yes…..so important…I like the way you put that..to use one’s voice “with compassion and not judgement”…if not, I think it’s usually better for it to be left unsaid….or until one can shift and use compassion.

“..may we learn to develop the courage to use our voices…” I’m working on that one. 🙂

    • Robin, I think you used your own “voice” very courageously in your post about leaving comments on blogs…and I think that your expressing your ideas led to others realizing they aren’t the only ones who feel that way. I think it’s very courageous to write about one’s “vulnerabilities” and to share those ideas and words with others. I think we all really benefit from seeing each other’s courageous action(s)…including using our voices….That being said…I’m plugging away at it too. 😀

  9. This is helpful information for me. I am happy to find your distinguished way of writing the post. I will be happy to see you writing on “We each have a voice….and it’s important to use it”. Now you make it easy for me to understand and implement the concept. Thank you for the post. Really this is a great effort.
