This is a variation on the “Piles of Smiles” page…

Of course, it would be wonderful to have only “piles of smiles” in one’s life, but that just doesn’t happen. So…there are, and will be, “tears and fears” too….right there along with the smiles and happiness.

I made this page to help me remember that there will be a range of reactions…not just one. And to keep in mind, when there are “tears and fears”,  that the smiles have been there before and will be back again…that things change…

I also try to help the kids that I teach to keep this awareness, too…to help them maintain perspective when things aren’t going so well…that happy moments will soon return and to be patient and tolerant until that happens.
