My own spirit seems to have run a bit dry recently….
So…. opening up to metaphorical ideas…
understanding the importance of “water”for the spirit…
as essential as water is for this beautiful hydrangea…
a beautiful plant that usually stands strong, hardy and resilient…
but which simply “flops over!” on some very hot afternoons…
in need of extra water and nourishment
~
And so…
our spirits being a bit like that hydrangea…
both needing water and nourishment
to sustain strength, resilience and beauty…
to avoid potential “flops!”
to bring our spirits back after occasional “flops!”
our spirits….
in need of a continuing supply of “water,”
to have a variety of sources of “water”….
and an awareness of what those sources might be…
regular watering…
easy access…
knowing how to bring the spirit back to a sense of aliveness…
vitality…
connection…
nurturing the beauty of all of our spirits
~
~
~
Watering our spirits…
sources of beauty for ourselves and others

??? … a few potential sources… ???
water for our spirits

A few of your own sources of water?
nourishing and replenishing your spirit?

May we all offer ourselves and each other…
this nourishing, vitalizing, life giving water…
whatever water each one of us needs,
whatever water each of us prefers,
whatever water nourishes each of our spirits
one beautiful drop at at time….

Great post! I really needed this today. 😀

I have stopped in and come back to read these beautiful thoughts. You have made me go back and remember the hydrangea in December at D2’s wedding. I remember wondering at the time, what is an appropriate Dec flower and D2 picked hydrangea. I must say she and SIL water my spirit continuously.

Oh Georgette…what a wonderful association…. lovely hydrangeas, the joy on the day of your daughter’s wedding and the love that SIL, you and she all share…beautiful and abundant water for your spirit…and their spirits….and lots of it!!!

Gorgeous, truly gorgeous. I love how you have combined softness of words and pictures with more structured and analytical graphs and mind maps. Something for everyone!

thanks Cat… I like combining ideas that might appeal to both sides of the “brain”….spirit/mind…give it a buffet and then ideas might go in better… 😉

Kathy, It’s a blessing that even when your spirit feels dry you still can inspire others with your beautiful wisdom and art. I have been uninspired for a quite a while and I have been using this time to reflect.
