I receivedĀ  a newsletter from Numi Tea a few days ago..at the top of the newsletter was a wonderful quote that was attributed to Helen Keller…her words were so moving that I created a page containing her words…

I am only one, but still I am one.

I cannot do everything, but still I can do something.

I will not refuse to do the something I can do.

I’ll try to keep those words in mind as I go through each day…

that even if I can’t do amazing, remarkable things, I can still do little things and make little differences…and to be willing to do those little things and enrich the lives of others and myself, as I can.

I think I’m going to use this on my blog (and link back to yours) in the coming weeks…it is an incredibly powerful statement. Thanks for it!!!

    • The statement would be powerful coming for anyone…but when realizing it was said by Helen Keller…all the more remarkable. (although there is a question about who said it first…a family acquaintance or her..whomever it was…for me, it’s an important and powerful inspiration and reminder. btw…I lived in Annie Sullivan cottage at Perkins School for the Blind, while I was in grad school, training to become a teacher of deaf-blind children…and then taught children who were deaf and blind for seven years…so lots of connection there) Happy to hear that you related to the quote!
