“You are my sunshine”….so much potential sunshine in our lives each day

I love the song “You Are My Sunshine”

you are my sunshine so much sunshine

~

We might typically think of “you” as a certain person who brings us happiness. But “you,” the source of that “sunshine” or happiness,  could be so many other things. There are so many potential contributors to happiness and so many ways of nurturing and appreciating the many sources of this wonderful  “sunshine”…

To start each day with appreciation for the many aspects within and around us,
a Native American practice I just learned about called “The Five Huaqua,”
to stand and face each direction, while appreciating the essence of each direction,
a lovely “sunshine” practice to start each day

~you are my sunshine so much sunshine the five huaqua

A precious source of sunshine…
the exquisite beauty of the Earth and Universe,
the beauty of nature,
and of all life on Earth

you are my sunshine beauty of earth and life

~

The sunshine of people…
being with friends and family,
nurturing, appreciating, enjoying, encouraging,
expanding our networks…
meeting and welcoming new people and sunshine into our lives

~

you are my sunshine...so much sunshine in people

~

The joys of exploring and participating in the sunshine of activities,
nurturing and pursuing our current interests….
welcoming and being curious…
exploring and developing new interests,
perhaps individually, or maybe with others,
opportunities abound,
a very precious source of energy and sunshine

~you are my sunshine so much sunshine in activities

~

So much potential “sunshine” in our lives each day…
a matter of appreciating, exploring and nurturing them all…
so much potential sunshine…

~

you are my sunshine so much potential sunshine each day

~

“you” are my sunshine…
whatever that “you” might be,
so much happiness….so much potential…
each and every day

~

you are my sunshine so much potential sunshine each day

~

May we all find and appreciate the many sources of sunshine we have access to each day

You just showed me that ‘you’ does not always mean a person, it can be life itself that is the source of our sunshine. Thanks for this ray of inspiration. đŸ™‚

Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy
Sunshine in my eyes can make me cry
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely
Sunshine almost always makes me high

If I had a day that I could give you
I’d give to you a day just like today
If I had a song that I could sing for you
I’d sing a song to make you feel this way

Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy
Sunshine in my eyes can make me cry
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely
Sunshine almost always makes me high

If I had a tale that I could tell you
I’d tell a tale sure to make you smile
If I had a wish that I could wish for you
I’d make a wish for sunshine all the while

Sunshine on my shoulders makes me happy
Sunshine in my eyes can make me cry
Sunshine on the water looks so lovely
Sunshine almost always makes me high
Sunshine almost all the time makes me high
    Sunshine almost always

Thanks for reminding me…”You Are My Sunshine” was the song we always sang to our daughter when she was young. And she still is, at 27…our sunshine…moonshine…our everything. đŸ™‚
