🙂 April 17 🙂 Happy, happy birthday to Julie, Kathy’s daughter…this day really is a very, very special day … link to a mother’s wish… and another “mother’s wish” (this one written by hugmamma) 🙂
Passing this wish along to Katie, too…another young person who is very dear to our family’s heart… “this day is a special day…it is yours…”
Every day of the future will be “today” so make the most of it while we can because once it becomes “tomorrow” it is too late.

Pingback: Nurturing Thurs – What is Right | "On Dragonfly Wings with Buttercup Tea"
Ohh to think how much time we have wasted worrying about the future and thinking/living in the past. This is an Important gem of encouragement to create moments of mindfulness throughout the day — keeping us in the present — small stones!! 😀
Oops – I ping-backed the wrong post — however, most of all of your post reinforce self awareness,, self nurturing and love.

Yes, I thought the ideas in this poem offer special reminders, too…
And yes, I guess most of my blog is about those ideas….right now, I’m creating another blog to “nurture” 3 Tibetan Buddhist monks with learning to speak and read English. They are lovely people who are sooo nurturing of everyone around them. Two of the monks walked (escaped) over the Himalayas (!!!) a number of years ago from Tibet….they said they walked for 15 days to Nepal. One of them, when using the word “wish” said so wistfully…”I wish I could see my mother again”…(she’s in Tibet and of course, he can’t go back there again) And yet, they nurture me when I’m there teaching and helping them with English! Amazing! Nurturing circles around us….round and round.
