I’ll be leaving Sunday morning for several weeks of vacation…up into the sky and then “on the road, again”……traveling around southwest Ireland. For much of the time we’ll be on a small tour with a few other very nice people, but then for the last 5 days, P. has volunteered to drive a rental car, on the LEFT side of the road!
And so…. a photo of a silly birthday card and little pre-birthday gift I gave to P. last night…a bar towel with very some steadying advice to American drivers on little Irish roads… to our very own “king of the road”… keep calm and carry on… 😀

Have a wonderful time!! Driving on the left takes a little getting used to (including remembering which side of the car to get in to!). My husband did all the driving when we spent time in England and Scotland, and I did all the navigating which included keeping an eye on the road signs and reminding him that left turns were easy and right turns were harder (the reverse of how it is here in the U.S.). We took full advantage of the roundabouts, too. If we weren’t sure which way to go, we just went round about again. lol!

Oh Joss, we’re having such a special time…. Today, we went to a remote healing spring and well and monks cave from 600 CE … Ferns, lush and beautiful…. We went to the Aran islands yesterday…. Simply beautiful… And the people everywhere we’ve been are so special … And so are the people on the trip….you’d love them!… kind, enthusiastic, insightful and nice….such a special time…. We’re all so happy to be here….. So happy and thankful ….

HI Becca, We just got back from Ireland on Wednesday night…we had such a special time…Remarkably kind and friendly people, fascinating and inspiring history, legends, mythology and sites, exquisitely beautiful nature, inspired traditional live Irish music, enormous variety in such a small area, warm and friendly interactions….so much warmth and kindness all around us…a lovely few weeks…
