an expansion upon the ideas in yesterday’s post…
“seasoned” pots, “seasoned” minds…
Bringing oneself back, again and again,
to the awareness of the abundance of positive “flavors”…
in all of our “seasoned” minds…

Good one! It shifts my focus to the positive flavors of my being. I made a comment in your previous post about living mindfully, and now I realize that I am mainly focusing on what needs to be changed and not on the positives that I also have.

That’s why I added these pages… to really become more aware that we’ve all been immersed in so many positives…but the challenges seem to be more “memorable”… So, like I wrote in the other comment… neuropsychologists say that physiologically, the brain is “teflon” for positives and “velcro” for negatives… so maybe it takes more conscious effort and reminding to stay in the positive “seasonings” state of heart/mind…. I think maybe so… : )

I am very interested in neuroscience, so find the teflon and velcro examples helpful as I had not heard of this.

yes..seasoned indeed… : ) … I was thinking of adding that this dynamic happens whether one is 15, 50 or 80…. but as life’s various experiences happen, the dynamic might get “thickened”…with deeper seasonings becoming more prevalent/apparent/dominant… at least that sure has happened for me. And hmmm…literary art… : ) ….. how about “culinary psychology of the mind?” : )
