My mother used to recite this little poem to us, when we were little…
a special sentiment…
encouraging and nurturing kindness, generosity and love,
reminding us to nurture ourselves and each other
as we all travel through life together
~
a reminder….
even during times when we’re feeling tumbled around in turmoil,
we can take refuge in offering and receiving
little thoughts, words and deeds of kindness…
little thoughts, words and deeps of love…
little drops of water, little grains of sand
happily given….gratefully received
~
little deeds of kindness…little words of love
~
happily given…gratefully received…
kindness, nurturing and love…

I agree…I’m so happy to see more and more bloggers re-affirming simple, positive reminders these days! Reminders of living with that balance is so important!

I like drops of posts about kindness, love, compassion it helps to balance the negativity in the world. I have found on occasion that some people are not receptive to kindness and reject an offer of kindness; perhaps in their minds they are perceiving the intention differently. In my life, I have found kindness to be healing.

I find both offering and receiving kindness to be very healing…but, yes, some people seem to be less receptive…there’s the “simply offer” idea, I guess.

And a lesson to “simply offer” and not being attached…

Sometimes an offer of kindness can be too much for a person who expects nothing good, but a little drop of kindness gets through.
