Wisdom from a children’s song…the lyrics from the song The Rainbow Connection…from The Muppet Movie…

perhaps, hinting at a deeper wisdom?…
perhaps not simply  “a children’s song?”

Ahhhhhh… the rainbow connections…..

In early December, I created a wonderfully magical room in our home… for reading, sitting, reflecting, imagining, dreaming… whimsical and magical…with several crystals in the window…

One of those crystal offers “rainbow lights”…. ohhhhhhh….such an abundant offering of rainbow lights from that one little crystal….each day the colorful lights land on different statues, decorations, “pages”…. each day a bit of mystery and an increasing sense of wonder….

One of the first times the light “lit upon” one of the “pages”  I had just created and hung along the side of a shelf… a page that was “calling”…wishing…hoping for….a magical first landing spot? …truly a lovely first landing spot….truly lovely….

And then…as the weeks went by, I continued creating more “pages,”  as I was “working my way through” a few difficulties….and I hung a few of  the pages from that shelf…for gazing at, reflecting upon the ideas, for taking in the beauty, for imagining that precious inner sense of loving and feeling loved…. imagining living my life in those ways…

they seemed to magically find those hearts, sentiments, aspirations and images…
really, really lovely to see

On the statues, there were usually 3 rainbow lights side by side, from that one crystal… those 3 lights moving gracefully each day across the shelf they are on.

On the image pages that I created, there was usually just one single light…often on the hearts….so intriguing to watch… with a sense of wonder… the daily variations in those exquisitely beautiful lights….

I wondered…
“is there something I should hear?”
“is there a message for me here?”
“if they could speak, what might they be trying to say?”

One day, I hung a pretty page with the list of  positive qualities from the recent  Appreciation Jar post…. with a heart added in the background…those wonderful qualities that we all “have”… we have lived each day, for so many years,  with those many positive qualities… the “habit” of living those ways is within us…the realized potential is there… so deeply and firmly within us…

Perhaps,  realizing those positive qualities are our part of our deep and abiding “strength”… we can trust that our potential to live with those qualities is always here within each of us…and that awareness can bring the deep sense of strength and confidence that we can handle anything… delighting in the “joys” of the good times and persevering through any perceived “challenges”  in possible “not so good” time…we truly are strong, loving, capable people…with an abundance of positive qualities….

May we all notice and delight in the rainbow lights
coming through and from each of our hearts…
perhaps, polishing those wonderful  “prisms” that might be our own loving hearts,
nurturing and sharing those delightful lights with others…
creating a continual glow of beauty all around us,
adding warmth, whimsy, love, delight and magic to the world…
the lovers, the dreamers….

P.S…. added a bit later… I see I made a  typo in the lyrics…. I typed…

“And have you heart voices? ”
instead of
“And have you heard voices?”…

Maybe that’s something I  was trying to get to, or to try to come to understand,  through creating this post…maybe the rainbow lights are like visual “heart voices”…. hmmmm? how about that???  I’m not going to change the typing on that word…
