“Sometimes our light goes out,
but is blown into flames by another human being.
Each of us owes deepest thanks to those who have rekindled this light”
Albert Schweitzer

We’re in the presence of so many others each day…
And also, in the “presence” of ourselves…
perhaps, to become more aware….
to realize how fragile each “light” is,
to tenderly nurture the light in each one of us…
to realize that we have the ability, the honor, the opportunity,
to rekindle light
…you just never know…
~
~
you just never know…
who might be hurting?
who might be feeling a bit confused or overwhelmed?
Who might “light” up…rekindle… if they received a bit of…
kindness, encouragement, generosity, compassion, love…
We have the ongoing opportunities
to rekindle tender and fragile lights …
~
~
May we become more aware, more generous and more encouraging…
rekindling the precious lights

this brought tears of gentle hurting for all those who need us to help rekindle the light they are!
“to realize that we have the ability, the honor, the opportunity,
to rekindle light” this, this is the honour that is ours as human beings, here together.

yes, Joss… I agree…you put that beautifully…
” this, this is the honour that is ours as human beings, here together”….
yes….that says it, thank you.
btw…the mobile/windpsinner images in this post…I created those after your suggestion on last Nurturing Thursday post… “everyday angels” post…thank you for that idea…maybe a bit like my own version of “Tibetan prayer flags” ????…wind blowing through/around the images, blowing little prayers from the images out into the world… and into myself, too…

I noticed them and thought they looked so lovely, flowing in the breeze with heaven’s light shining through. Prayer flags indeed.

I read this today with my cellphone and typed a comment but l lost my message. The pictures are displayed beautifully in my phone. I have had many instances in my life where my light has been rekindled by the kindness of others and you have been one them. Thank you for sharing your light through your posts and the kindness you extend to others.

Yes, me too… so many times that the kindness of others has rekindled my light, too. You offer so much light, too, Marie…
That’s good news that the images from PP display on mobile devices…
