…as I wander around our home…
noticing so many butterflies collected over the past many years…
….butterflies…
“images” created from:
clays… from deep in our precious earth,
varieties of exquisite woods… from Mother Earth’s trees,
rich and textured wools… from sheep of our pastures,
fragile hearts of glass…made from volcanic ash of Mt. St. Helens,
colors, textures and patterns
…so many beautiful butterflies…
caterpillars…to chrysalis..to butterflies
being…transforming…emerging…becoming
…butterflies abound…

January 23, 2013: Adding some photos here, for a family member who came by yesterday and saw the jumping rock and the butterflies, and who, perhaps, might stop by again….??? (other people seldom stop by these “older” posts…so it’s quite private here….for passing along ideas etc. )

I just returned from the Holographic Butterfly weekend…it was magically wonderful! Joss, you would have LOVED it! The 5 days were inspiring, remarkable and filled with AMAZING people! 😀

The clay face/sculpture, with butterflies on it, looked so pretty on the quilt background. It’s back up on the wall now, but maybe I’ll add a photo of the quilt for backing…they resonate nicely with each other. : )

I was looking for a photograph of you in a big floppy hat, perched proudly on a boulder in a back yard, and here I find this butterfly poised in front of a tree trunk! I was never able to connect with your sites previously, but I encountered your card on a kitchen stand and decided I would give it another try. Voila, there you were and are! It would be counterproductive for me to spend much time at the moment in this domain of light and love, but — oh my — aren’t you and your friends doing wonderfully! It is the great gift of my life that you and Mom are comfortable and well cared for, and there is very little more that I could ask for. What in the world is going on with San Francisco athletic teams, the Niners and Giants? Regards to Peter and Julie, and abiding love from New Hampshire. Dave.
