An “every day wish….”….. kindness, compassion, love, encouragement and generosity

~

An “everyday wish…”
to rekindle the “light” in each other
to add “warmth”…
generosity, kindness, love, compassion and encouragement

~

~

This image was  from an April post….”Friday Wishes…”
That post and earlier images were referring to passing along
kind, encouraging and loving wishes
on Fridays

~

But….of course…
kind, encouraging and loving wishes
are important every day
and so…
“every day wishes”
“rekindling  lights”
with generosity, kindness, love, compassion and encouragement

~

~
Sometimes,  our lights might flicker….
some may even seem to go out…
for each of us to be aware
of what we can do each day to keep those lights going
to rekindle each other’s lights
…an every day wish…

  2. you’re welcome….those original images were from a previous post in April …with “humor” being one of the pieces of kindling….given that there is NO humor in what happened yesterday, I just revised those pages and changed “humor” to “love”…and posted the revised pages…. What a tragedy….

I’m very very tempted to create another post about multiple contributing causes leading to a potentially dire effect….after so many years of seeing SO many little boys (not all, but some), young ones, come through my classroom…with a passionate fascination with weapons, violence, action movies, violent or aggressive video games…and someday when they’re older….with enough “smarts” and access to sophisticated weapons and technology….150 million of those little boys may not/will not act on that…but several might…especially when there are “other” “contributing factors”, whatever those might be….and other people pay dearly if/when that happens. It’s a chance we’re taking…. I suppose maybe I’ll speak to this someday…because I’ve been watching it with concern for a number of years… Oh goodness….look at the energy here…one teacher writing to another….and shaking my head in a sense of dismay….

  3. Regarding the comment I made for PetalPusher, another school teacher….Phillip Zimbardo, the creator of the Stanford Prison Project, a respected Stanford researcher and professor…has a May 23, 2012 ebook….with concerns about boys who are growing up these days… I have a very deep respect for everything I’ve read by Dr. Zimbardo, so I consider his perspective to be worth listening to and considering. The Demise of Guys: How Boys Are Struggling and What We Can Do About It http://www.amazon.com/The-Demise-Guys-Struggling-ebook/dp/B00850HTHO

Perhaps, socially conscious “indignation” and “speaking up” might be appropriate kindling for that fire too???

This idea of “cause and effect”… “why?” people do what they do…causes lead to effects….subtly contributing causes, more obvious contributing causes, main causes…bizarre contributing causes…. link to another image…why: https://pocketperspectives.wordpress.com/pull-weeds/why/

I love this post (and the earlier one). Hopefully we can remember just what is important in life and help others to recognise this too.

    • thank you….yes….to keep a focus on what’s important in life…do you suppose that’s something the women with empty nests and “wisdom” need to be doing…to keep that at the forefront of people’s minds?
