Uh oh…. “my get up and go…got up and went”

Uh oh….
I wonder what happened to my
“let’s take care of this”
energy???

it seems to have…
…left….gone…missing…

Oh no….it can’t leave me now!

I have lots that could be taken care of….
lots…and lots…and lots

and here I sit…
at the computer
…playing…
happy as can be
having so much fun making pages
about
that “missing”
get up and go…

Oh…
I really, really need you
to come on back…

😀  ah, feisty  “get up and go”  😀

~

Anyone else have some feisty “get up and go”????
Does it tend to wander about on its own?
Can you get it out of “play mode”
and into “take care of things” mode?
feisty, feisty, feisty

My “get up and go”
isn’t going where it needs to go
🙄

~

😀

oh…it is sooooooo much fun
to just
play
and play
and play!

😀

but…in a bit more thoughtful vein….
a helpful quote offer by Ben
(in the comments section)

upon reflection….
I can see that if I cared about the chores,
I’d probably “do” them
These days….
I seem to care about
……creating pages, studying, reflecting…..
and being “playful”…
thoroughly enjoying a newly found sense of freedom
from responsibility and “career”…
what a joyful relief!

  2. sometimes your get up and go gets up and goes because it knows you need to say “no, no, no”!

  3. Hurrray hurray…..Joss, did you just give permission for “it” to get up and leave???…and play….???…( or did I misunderstand and you suggested that it needs some limits?) ….oh “it” was hoping some playful, kindred spirit would come along and give it some support! 😀 (but actually, I’ve been outside having a good time with the pressure washer…cleaning the winter’s accumulation off the summer outdoor furniture, patio etc….as long as “it” thinks I’m playing, it cooperates 😀 I’m actually enjoying doing that now!..wow! ahh…so easily distractible! )

So many of us seem to be having this same desire to just play, play, play in the summertime! “Play” is often the best precursor to true creativity, I think! So PLAY ON, dear Pocket!

Sometimes I do both, I get up and go and then sit down during breaks to play. I prefer to play over chores, oh, yes!!! 🙂

My old friend Brian once sent me a message. I copied into a journal and I still have it. You post caused me to recall it. So …

(Of course, this does not prevent me from “wasting time”. On the other hand, it does invite me to ponder what constitutes “wasting time”. I am fortunate to have such a wise friend.)

    • Good quotes!…I made that first one into a page… good ideas! I notice that I have no lack of motivation, focus, effort or direction when I’m studying, learning, reflecting, making pages (whether for study or fun)…and I did figure out how to motivate myself with the power washing…to create a welcoming and hospitable environment for people who come over…to do it for the benefit of welcoming others….so the ideal meeting the actual….just right! (and actually I learn tons and tons from the pages that I make…that’s why I make them…to learn some idea or “ideal” )
