This is an incredible video of a joyful, young Australian man trying out for “X Factor,” which seems like an Australian version of American Idol. The young man, Emmanuel Kelly, was born in Iraq and brought to an Iraqi orphanage, with his brother, in a shoe box. It looks like he had significant damage to all four limbs. He was adopted by an Australian woman, and was obviously brought up in a remarkably loving family…
Before he sings, he tells a little bit of his story…
an absolute inspiration about the power of love…
and the way he sings this song, “Imagine,” is an inspiration, too…
just imagine….

*I’ve never made 2 posts in one day, but I just got this video in an email, and was so inspired by Emmanuel that I decided to quickly put a post together…. so that his story, courage and joyful outlook can be shared...it’s also a tribute to the power of love…a loving mother who did what it took to adopt 2 little boys and provide them with a loving, caring family…the love shines through in all of their faces…
I also posted this video in my blog about a week or so ago after a friend of mine sent me the link. It brought tears to my eyes and an admiration for this young man’s amazing spirit.

I loved this. Thanks for taking the time to do an extra post. I love what one of the judges said in the end, “This makes everything that we worry about seem so pathetic.” Yeah. I agree.

Yes, that last comment by one of the judges deserves to be remembered… it’s so easy to forget how fortunate we are. And of course, the brothers were incredibly fortunate, after their earlier deep misfortune, to be adopted by such a loving mother!

This sounds like a touching and world class story. Apparently we can’t access it here in the U.S.; but, I am going to see if I can’t find some version on YouTube.
Thanks for this and your visits and comments on our site.
